Pet Hair?
Why we must know if you have pet hair removal needs!
When detailing a vehicle, it’s incredibly important for us to know ahead of time if the owner has pet hair removal needs. Pet hair can be one of the most time-consuming and labor-intensive parts of a detail. Unlike regular dirt or debris, pet hair sticks to fabric, gets tangled in carpet fibers, and hides in every nook and cranny. Removing it isn’t as simple as a quick vacuum—it requires special tools and techniques. We use rubber brushes, pumice stones, pet hair vacuums, and lint rollers to lift hair from all surfaces. In some cases, we even need compressed air and fabric-safe pre-treatment sprays to loosen embedded fur. This process can add anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour to the detail, depending on how severe the hair buildup is.
It’s also physically demanding, often requiring repeated scrubbing and kneeling in tight spaces. Not only does it extend the job time, but it also impacts our daily schedule if we weren’t prepared for it. That’s why being notified ahead of time is essential—it allows us to allocate the right amount of time and bring all the necessary supplies. It also helps us give accurate estimates and avoid last-minute upcharges or delays. When customers communicate this need in advance, it ensures a smoother experience for both parties. Our goal is to return your car in pristine condition, free of odors, allergens, and all signs of pet hair. But that level of clean requires preparation and planning. A quick heads-up can make all the difference in the results we deliver. Your honesty helps us help you—and keeps your furry friend’s rides a little cleaner, too.
